CASA CINTA
This residential garden, situated along the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway, utilizes native dune plant species to create a lush coastal landscape with minimal maintenance requirements. Arching Sabal palms and character Clusia Rosea and Green Buttonwood trunks screen views of adjacent properties from the interior ground level of the home, while shaping upper level vistas of the neighboring canal system. Understory plantings such as Spider Lily, Golden Beach Creeper and Railroad Vine will colonize the terraced ground plane creating textural patterns with seasonal interest. The exterior paving strategy was designed to include pervious concrete pavers and granular pathways to allow eighty-percent permeability of all open space code requirements. Additional program elements of the project include a liner lap pool, vine covered shade structure and a cantilevered concrete dock that extends over the water's edge.
